Fanuc M-3iA Food Packaging Robots

The above video brings you the automated packing of frozen foods by Fanuc M-3iA robots. This industrial robot is developed in a unique parallel-link structure with increased speed and flexibility to provide best automated service for small part handling and picking. There are two models available in Fanuc M-3iA series robot such as:

  • M-3iA/6A (Six Axis)
  • M-3iA/6S (Four Axis)

Fanuc M-3iA/6A is a Six-Axis robot with Three-Axis wrist, which is capable of picking and inserting parts up to a payload of 6 kilograms. The wrists can move at a speed of 2000 degrees/second, and top speed will not be obtained at short distance motion.

Fanuc M-3iA/6S is a Four-Axis robot with Single-Axis wrist, which provides a maximum speed of up to 4000 degrees/second for handling high-speed picking and kitting operations. As like the above model, it can also carry up to 6 kilograms of payload, and top speed is not possible at short distance motion.

Both these models have several similar features like:

  • R-30iA mate compact rack mount controller
  • Supports iRVision and FANUC force control
  • DIA 1350 mm & Height 500 mm (Reach)
  • ± 0.1 mm repeatability
  • Ceiling mounting method
  • 0.5 or less vibration

The Fanuc M-3iA series robot is offered under two configurations – Standard and Food grade with IP67 rating, which can be installed in dirty & dusty environments.
